The 114 Rafale deal should mandate M88 engine assembly in India if we are serious about building a non-dependent ecosystem. With that in place, investing in M88 derivatives for future programs would make far more strategic sense, provided funds permit.

According to ANI, Dassault has estimated the deal to be around $22Billion. Based on the provided figures, the per-unit cost of a single Rafale aircraft would be approximately $192.98 million ( Including Infrastructure Cost )
