This is absolutely bizarre. A local councillors tells a TV interviewer that she was "born and bred here", then checks herself as if she has said something terrible, and then the interviewer weighs in against her for saying it. Truly extraordinary.

Sorry to return to this, but it is genuinely one of the weirdest and most disturbing exchanges I have ever seen on TV. Why on earth should anyone reproach themselves, or be rebuked by another person, simply for stating that they were "born and bred" in a particular place?

This is absolutely INSANE! A councillor is mortified because she said she is a “local born and bred” and then a journalist actually tries to shame her more because she said it. What the hell is wrong with everyone???

A very strange reaction that highlights a problem that hides itself. There are bad actors at play feeding us certain messaging.

From the cradle to the grave Brits are taught to hate themselves. That needs to stop. Now is the time for courage. Now is the time to stand up for Britain. Now.
